Office of the President and Vice President
My name is Meris Shuwarger, and I am a senior at Chamberlain University College of Nursing. I struggle with a chronic genetic condition, and nurses were always the ones who impacted my care the most, causing me to pursue this field in hopes of being able to do the same. I work as a supplemental instruction leader and also as a product development specialist for a nursing education company, as I aspire to be a nurse educator. I live in Columbus with my husband, two children, three cats, and 55 houseplants!
I recognize the immense honor I have been given in representing the interests of nursing students from this great buckeye state, and I do not take this honor lightly. I'd invite you to read my letter in the most recent newsletter, which can be found by clicking here.
My name is Jeffrey and I am a freshman pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Chamberlain University College of Nursing. I am a recently retired, well decorated Iraq combat veteran. I served honorably in the United States Army from 2010 until 2019. Ultimately, I intend on a career as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Upon graduation, I plan to return to Chamberlain University for my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. I am humbled to serve the Student Nursing Association as Vice President and I look forward to the challenge of maintaining the performance of excellence established by my predecessor.
